Packing List

I decided to take a small suitcase and a backpack as hand baggage and a few days before my flight I also decided to take another big suitcase with me, so that I had two big suitcases, one small suitcase and a backpack.

I flew with Singapore Airlines.

 

Hand baggage:

Backpack 40x30x10cm (regular Eastpak backpack):

-ID card, passport, visa, international driver's license

-mastercard, money (200$-300$ for the first few weeks)

-flight ticket

-phone (+charger)

-mp3 player

-headphones

-nintendo ds

-neck pillow

-chewing gum

 

Small suitcase 7kg and HxWxD = 115cm total (Primark):

-enough clothes for 1 week at the Training School

-flip flops

-tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel

-hair brush, comb, hair ties

-sun glasses

-filter bottle

-socket outlet adapters

-vaccination certificate, copies of important documents

 

 

Baggage:

Suitcase 23kg (EMINENT trolley):

-clothes: summer, winter (ca. for 2 or 3 weeks)

-bikini

-Chuck's, sports shoes, high heels

-belt

-accessoires

-nail file, nail scissors, a pair of tweezers

-deodorant (spray (!) because it's expensive in the US)

-perfume

-skincream, suncream, after sun

-cough drops

-nasal spray

-band-aids

-birth control

-vacuum bags (they're very very helpful)

-socket outlet adapters

-reflex camera (I own a Nikon D3100)

-photos of my friends and family

-charging cables

-external hard disk (cause I plan to buy a new laptop in the US)

-sketch book

-book (The Lord of The Rings Trilogy)

 

2nd Suitcase 23kg:

-big teddy bear

-winter clothes

-small Longchamp handbag

 

-presents for my host family:

for my boys (5 and 7 years old): coloring books, colored pencils, peanut-shaped erasers, lego pencil cases

for my host mom: a kitchen sign with little hooks and compatible dish towels, cookbook

for my host dad: a multifunctional clasp knife, a wall clock

 

This is my Eminent suitcase!

I bought it at Galeria Kaufhof in Osnabrück, Germany and I paid about 110€.

It's of high quality and very big. I'm sure I'll get all my stuff in there!

 

This is my cabin baggage!

I bought it at Primark in Hannover, Germany and I paid about 28€.

It's not of the best quality, but I think it's enough for the first week at the Training School.
